Photo - Concorde Cockpit Information
Description: |
Concorde Simulator at Brooklands Museum UK. The BA simulator is now working after a 3 year rebuild project. This simulator was used to train over 200 pilots and flight engineers while the Concorde was in service. The motion hydraulics were scrapped but after climbing to 58000ft and flying Mach 2 it does not matter. Take off with afterburners or reheat as the Brits call it is very fast. Landing is tricky as there are no flaps and a delta wing. I had the honour to fly it for one hour on November 15, 2010 |
