The Transall C-160 (often C.160) is a military transport aircraft developed by a consortium of French and German aircraft manufacturers for the air forces of those two nations and that of South Africa C-160Z.
The SAAF operated nine C160Zs from 1969 to 1993. After they were withdrawn from
service eight were scrapped and one assigned to the SAAF Museum, where it remains on static display. At Joburg Air Show ca. 1975.
