HOMER, ALASKA – Rescue crews responded to an aircraft crash at the state-owned airport in Homer on Tuesday. Few details are currently available, but reports indicate that a charter aircraft crashed on the approach to runway 21 at approximately 2:15 local time this afternoon.
The aircraft has been identified as a Cessna 206 with one male pilot and two female passengers. The pilot is reportedly uninjured while the passengers have sustained what’s being described as minor injuries including bumps, bruises and abrasions. All three have been transported to a local medical facility for treatment and observations.
The aircraft was totaled when it came to rest upside down about 150 yards beyond runway 21.
