GANDER, NL – A Gulfstream IV with six people on board slid off the end of the runway at the Gander International Airport yesterday.
At approximately 6:00 pm, as the aircraft was arriving from the Netherlands for refueling, the Captain indicated there was an equipment failure and the aircraft was sliding as he tried to stop on the runway.
The RCMP investigated the incident and determined that here were no injuries and the aircraft was not damaged.
Transport Safety Board was advised and authorized the aircraft to be pulled back onto the runway.
The aircraft, N45AC owned by Crystal Air Aviation, resumed it’s trip to Palm Beach Florida at approximately 9:30 pm.
