New Piper Aircraft to Include BRS Parachute as Standard Equipment

January 27th, 2010 ~ No Comments

VERO BEACH, FL – Piper Aircraft Inc. announced today that their new entry-level PiperSport aircraft will include a BRS ballistic parachute as standard equipment.

Piper is the only general aviation manufacturer to build and offer aircraft for every general aviation mission, from trainers and high-performance aircraft for personal and business use to turbine-powered business aircraft and the PiperJet. “There is no understating the significance of this union between BRS, the worldwide leader in providing life saving aircraft recovery systems, and Piper Aircraft, a company of unparalleled aviation history,” stated BRS CEO Larry Williams.

“We all recognize the venerable ‘Piper Cub,’ their legacy aircraft that revolutionized general aviation flying in the 1930s,” noted Boris Popov, founder and director of Public Affairs. “Incorporating cutting-edge safety technology, such as the BRS ballistic parachute, can only further solidify their reputation for performance, reliability, and innovative design,” he added.

The PiperSport, manufactured by Czech Sport Aircraft (CSA) and distributed through master distributor PiperSport Distribution, Inc., is immediately available for sale, with first deliveries scheduled for April 2010.
