NBAA Announces Recipient of 2011 Baldwin Business Aviation Management Scholarship

WASHINGTON, DC – The National Business Aviation Association today announced the recipient of its Donald A. Baldwin Sr. Business Aviation Management Scholarship, which benefits individuals seeking to become NBAA Certified Aviation Managers. The scholarship, which is given annually in coordination with the family of Donald A. Baldwin Sr., promotes professional development in business aviation by providing financial support for qualified CAM exam candidates.

The recipient of the 2011 scholarship is Dan Dominguez, chief pilot with Taughannock Aviation Corp in Ithaca, NY. Dominguez was recognized during the NBAA 19th Annual Leadership Conference held last month in San Diego, CA, where Donald Baldwin Jr. announced the scholarship results in honor of his father.

Currently pursuing his master’s degree in business administration, Dominguez has worked in business aviation since 1997, flying for several different companies. He believes that earning the CAM credential will benefit both his company and his career.

Donald A. Baldwin Sr. was an accomplished general aviation pilot who served on NBAA’s Board of Directors from 1968 to 1971, In his lifetime, he was recognized for his contributions to business aviation with the NBAA John P. “Jack” Doswell Award and the Flight Safety Foundation Business Aviation Meritorious Service Award.

The Baldwin Business Aviation Management Scholarship is one of several scholarships offered by NBAA to promote professional development and business aviation careers.
